2025 Kids Camp Daily Activities:

Day 1: Aquascapes and Hydroponics
On the first day of camp, we’ll dive into the fascinating world of aquascaping and hydroponics! Campers will learn about the unique aquatic plants that thrive in our local bodies of water and discover how to grow plants in water without soil. After an introduction to these concepts, campers will brainstorm and design their own miniature aquascape water gardens. Campers will be adopting guppies and freshwater snails to inhabit their new underwater gardens. If you prefer that your child does not bring home these aquatic companions, please send a note. However, the fish and snails play a vital role in maintaining the natural ecosystem of these planted tanks.
Day 2: The Magic and Mystery of Trees
Day two takes us on an enchanting journey into the world of trees! Campers will discover how trees communicate with each other, share resources, and even warn each other of dangers. We will start our morning with a hike down beautiful Market Street to the enchanted Centennial Park to observe some of the ancient, magical trees that inhabit our area. As we walk, we will learn about the different types of trees that grow locally and the important roles they play in our ecosystem. Each camper will be given a sketchbook. We will be drawing some of our favorite old trees and taking notes on how they grow in the wild and some of our favorite characteristics about them.
After our hike, we will return to our studio to learn about the art of bonsai. Each camper will get to choose their own miniature tree and create a beautiful bonsai garden that they can take home and care for. As we explore the magic and mystery of trees, we will also learn about the importance of protecting our forests. Trees play a vital role in our environment by providing oxygen, absorbing carbon dioxide, and preventing soil erosion. By learning about trees and their importance, we can help to protect our planet for future generations.

Day 3: Hogwarts Day
Get ready for a day filled with magic and adventure! Campers will unleash their inner wizards during Hogwarts-themed day. We’ll start with a thrilling game of Quidditch at Riverfront Park, followed by a scavenger hunt to find really cool sticks that they can transform into magical wands. After returning to the studio, campers will craft their very own Harry Potter-themed terrariums, filled with enchanting details and whimsical creatures, and mix up a batch of Hogwarts-inspired slime. This day promises to be filled with creativity, fun, and, of course, a little bit of magic!
Day 4: A Pixie Moss Meadows Excursion
On our fourth day, campers will embark on a magical Pixie Moss Meadows excursion right here in Riverfront Centennial Park! For this special day, we’ll transform the park into an enchanting fairy trail, with hidden pixie houses, whimsical fairy doors, and secret troll hideaways set up exclusively for our campers. Each child will receive a custom treasure map to guide them on their quest, documenting fairy, troll, or gnome sightings as they explore. After the adventure, we’ll return to the studio where campers create their own fairy doors and design an enchanted succulent dish garden—a magical keepsake from their day’s discoveries.

Day 5: Sasquatch and a Party
On the final day of camp, campers will embark on an exciting Bigfoot scavenger hunt! Legend has it that a Bigfoot has been spotted near Pixie Moss Meadows, and we’ll set out to search for clues in Fallbrook Park, located just behind our studio. Campers will be on the lookout for mysterious tracks and hidden signs of this elusive creature as they explore the park.
After our adventurous search, campers will return to the studio to create their own Bigfoot terrariums! Building a mini jungle habitat and adopting a Bigfoot to live inside! They’ll also make castings of Bigfoot’s footprint as a special keepsake.
We’ll wrap up this magical week with a celebratory pizza party, featuring delicious pizza from local legend Aniello’s Pizzeria right across the street from Pixie Moss Meadows. No need to bring lunch this day just bring your appetite and your favorite camp memories to share with new friends.
