2026 Kids Camp Daily Activities:

Day 1: Aquascapes and Hydroponics
Day 1 of camp focuses on connection, creativity, and nature exploration. Campers kick off the week with fun icebreakers while designing their own custom Pixie Moss Meadows camp bag and name tag to use all week. After a guided nature walk at Riverfront Centennial Park to learn about river ecosystems, they return to the studio to build their own one gallon indoor aquascape complete with aquatic plants and small aquatic life. Campers also help set up a Tadpole Observation Tank, learning how balanced ecosystems are created and maintained.
Day 2: Bug Lab and Natural Specimen Art
Day Two dives into the world of insects and their vital role in our ecosystems. Campers learn about habitats, pollination, and how bugs support plant life before creating a framed shadow box using ethically sourced butterflies and beetles for their own Curiosity Cabinet Collection. They will also build a one gallon natural terrarium for a pet land snail, learning about proper habitat setup and care.

Day 3: Tree Wisdom and Beginner Bonsai
Day Three celebrates the wisdom and resilience of trees. Campers explore how trees communicate and adapt to seasonal changes during a scavenger hunt at Riverfront Centennial Park. Back at the studio, they plant and shape their own beginner bonsai tree while learning basic pruning and care techniques. The day also includes creating wood slice coasters and optional wood bead friendship bracelets as nature-inspired keepsakes.
Day 4: Earth Layers and Prehistoric Terrarium Lab
Day Four takes campers on an Earth science adventure as they explore the layers of the planet and how natural treasures form. After a guided geode hunt and cracking open their own crystals, campers return to the studio to create a prehistoric inspired living terrarium using moss, plants, crystal pieces, and fun fossil style dinosaur elements to design their own self-sustaining ecosystem.

Day 5: Woodland Home Build and Pizza and Sundae Celebration
Our final day is a joyful celebration of creativity and everything campers have discovered throughout the week. After a fun sundae breakfast and design planning, each camper will build either a Pixie Home or Gnome Retreat using natural materials. They’ll also plant their own easy care tropical houseplant to take home, complete their Tadpole Observation Tank with guidance for safe release, and wrap up the week with a celebratory pizza lunch from Aniello’s Pizza.
